Working for a better world...

where whales and humans meet.

The Whale Stewardship Project (WSP) is concerned with advancing greater knowledge and understanding of all cetaceans and their ocean habitat.

The magnetic appeal of solitary sociable beluga whales makes them important ocean ambassadors and they are the basis for outreach that is effectively inspiring participation by the public in protecting both the  whales and marine habitat.

In addition to on-site education and distribution of guidelines, we do a wide variety of international speaking engagements in learning institutions and other venues.

Available on this site, is an award-winning educational film entitled, "Where Whales and Humans Meet," that chronicles the unique behaviour of Wilma and the efforts of the WSP. Our work has also been featured in several documentaries and local, national and international news features.
